You Don’t have to be a “Genius” to Understand the Gifted Brain

Join us for an Evening with Matthew J. Zakreski, Psy.D., as he presents on the neuropsychology of the gifted brain and what that means for you and your children. Dr. Zakreski is a graduate of Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology and Wake Forest University. He specializes in working with gifted children and their families in therapy, social-emotional learning (SEL), and psychological testing. He consults to schools and organizations to both raise awareness of the unique needs of the gifted population and help make sure those needs are met. Dr. Zakreski is an Adjunct Professor at local colleges and has presented his work on giftedness at the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), the Society for the Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG), the Delaware Psychological Association (DPA), and at the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE). He served as the School Counselor at The Grayson School for 1.5 years and currently is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in private practice in Conshohocken, PA. Dr. Zakreski is also working on a book outlining his treatment philosophy of Client-Created Content (CCC), which includes using Improv games to teach social skills.
