Kudos to Dr. Jeanne Elberfeld as a parent and officer of PAGE of Blue Mountain. She is deserving of recognition for her efforts to advocate for gifted. In 2005 Jeanne gave the opening address to the initial meeting of PAGE of Blue Mountain. She spoke from the heart, gripping her audience with tales of gifted students' trials and tribulations. She was convincing as she shared that it is absolutely imperative that parents understand and support gifted children. Busy raising four of her own children, Jeanne was not only instrumental in establishing PAGE of Blue Mountain but she continues to advise new parents in our district and currently serves as president of the affiliate.
